37 weeks! Oh My!

Well the past couple of weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind!  During my 35 week check-up, Dr. Callison told me I was still measuring ahead (just a reminder that we were told that was abnormal for tall women) and when she checked my cervix, she said she was pretty sure Elijah Tate was breech.  So, it was looking like a c-section was in order since I was having a large baby and he was going to be breech.  So, she had me come back the next week for a measurement ultrasound.  The measurement ultrasound showed that Elijah Tate was around 7.5 lbs and we were told that could be off up to a pound either way.  So technically, ET could be 6.5lbs or 8.5lbs (and that was his weight at 36 weeks).  Keep in mind that babies can gain more than 1/2 lb per week until delivery at this stage!  So, doing the math properly tells me I will have a normal baby or large baby (a small baby is not an option at this point)!

Since Dr. Callison was out sick for my 36 week appointment this past week, we saw the practitioner.  She said that the baby's head was down (way down) and ET is no longer breech!  WOOHOO!  And, she said that she really didn't see a problem with me having a successful vaginal delivery no later than 39 weeks.  THAT'S IN 2 WEEKS!!!!!   So, we are keeping our fingers crossed that on Wednesday we hear the same from Dr. Callison at our next appointment.

Seeing ET again during the ultrasound was so sweet.  Now I know exactly which limb he keeps jabbing in my ribs.....it's his long legs!  And, his little tush is making me terribly uncomfortable because it literally feels like he's breaking my breastbone.  In fact, most of the times when he's poking out of my belly, it's his little tush that's making the impression that we get to see!

So, we've been doing all of the last minute preparations for ET to arrive EARLY!  Today, I'm making the hospital door hanger and the house wreath (because it really irks me to let others do those things for me).  And, Molly got groomed yesterday just in time for her new brother to arrive!  We are so excited that we can't hardly stand the anticipation any longer!

And, at this point, it literally hurts to walk...get out of the bed....sit down.....get up....you get the drift!

Thank you all so much for your prayers.  My iron level has stayed normal the past few weeks and all of us have stayed well and healthy!  We are truly blessed by our prayer warrior friends & family!

Hotty Toddy!

We went to our first (and probably only) Ole Miss game of the season!  It was the home opener in Oxford again BYU.....a total heart breaker since we lost in the last few minutes of the game!  But, we had a great time with great friends and family!  I so enjoyed my time around Mr. Holley, Skip & Beverly Neale, Lisa (Tony's cousin), Matt & Jessica Montgomery and Michele!  I love, love, love being on campus at Ole Miss!  The band sounded great and made me just want to cry!

Here's a few pictures (can you tell I'm obsessed with pictures?)....

By the way, Elijah Tate loved the LOUD Hotty Toddy cheers.....he told me! :-)

Weeks 33-35

So here's a few picture updates!  My tummy has really expanded over the past 6 weeks.  When I look at the pictures, it's hard to believe!

33 Weeks

 34 Weeks

35 Weeks

How could I not include a picture of Molly?!?

I just had my 35 week appointment on Tuesday.  When I went 2 weeks ago, we were still measuring 2 weeks ahead.  And, we're still measuring 2 weeks ahead.  The doctor said that's a little unusual considering I'm 6 feet tall.  So, Dr. Callison is thinking Elijah Tate will be a little on the large size.  We will go in for an ultrasound on Tuesday morning for measurements.  I'm hoping he's not too large!  I'm not very fond of the C section idea!  I was also checked for dilation (and I wasn't dilated yet) but she was unable to feel the head, which has Dr. Callison also concerned that Elijah Tate is breech.  If that's the case, and he doesn't turn, it looks like the moon and stars will align perfectly for me to have the dreaded C section.  On a positive note, my blood levels were getting closer to normal!  And, if I gain another unit for delivery I may not have to deal with all of the extra stuff after delivery!

We have another big weekend coming up!  Two baby showers and I get to see my mom again!

Last weekend I was able to sneak home for a few days.  It was great to see my family and extended family!

We went to our last childbirth class last night at Crestwood.  This was the class we missed a few weeks ago when I was sick.  Apparently it was the one class where they coached you through contractions.  And, apparently we missed the memo!  When we got there, the door was locked and the lights were off!  I sure hope I can find some instruction on youtube!

Building Church Baby Shower--August 28, 2011

Here are some pictures from my first baby shower.  I had a blast.  I love my church!  The ladies are so awesome and such a blessing to Tony and I.  Mom was able to be there too!  That made the whole day even more special!

I'm still trying to figure out where to put all of the baby clothes and goodies that we received!
